  • Q. How old do I need to be to rent a Car from Avis?

    A. You can rent an Avis Self Drive car if you are 18 years or above.

  • Q. How can I reserve a car?

    A. You can make a reservation through our website or mobile App.

  • Q. What is the minimum time duration I can rent the car for?

    A. You can rent it for a minimum of 12hrs.

  • Q. How can I cancel my booking?

    A. You can cancel your booking either through the website or mobile app.

  • Q. Do I need to pick up the car from Avis rental office?

    A. No. All the cars are delivered and collected by our drivers from the address you have specified at the time of booking.

  • Q. I need to drop off the car at a different location, can I do that?

    A. No. The car will be collected by our driver from the place to where it was delivered.

  • Q. What fuel types are available in Avis cars? A. We have both diesel and petrol variants available with us.

  • Q. What is the fuel policy?

    A. As per the Avis fuel policy:

    • The car will be delivered with a full tank and need to be returned in the same manner.

    • Customer pays for the fuel charges based on the usage.

    • If the car is returned with less than full tank fuel, Avis will charge for the differential fuel.

    • The customer can either pay this directly by cash/card at the time of car pick up by Avis driver or the same will be deducted from the security deposit.

    • The assessment made by the Avis driver on the differential fuel amount will be final.

  • Q. What if I return the car late?


    Guest needs to inform Avis in advance for rental extension. An extension of up to 1 hours is permissible if informed with no extra charges. If the extension exceeds 1 hours, following charges will be applicable for every hour including the extension:

    Rs. 400/hr. Duster, Creta, Eco Sports, Ertiga, Innova, Innova Crysta and Xuv500
    Rs. 1000/hr. Mercedes E Class

    Note : In case of extension/late return, guests are requested to call Avis Customer Care (+91 1244 724 888) or email ( atleast 4 hours prior to the drop off time.

  • Q. What is your cancellation policy?

    A. As per Avis cancellation policy, if the booking is cancelled:

    48 hours prior to pick up time

    No cancellation charges

    Within 24 to 48 hours of pick up time

    3% of the rental amount will be deducted.

    Within 12 to 24 hours of pick up time

    25% of the rental amount will be deducted

    Within 0 to 12 hours of pick up time

    50% of the rental amount will be deducted

    At or after pick up time

    No refund

  • Q. Where all places AVIS does not deliver their Cars ?

    A. Cars will not be delivered at Metro Stations, Malls or Public Places (AVIS holds the right to refuse the delivery of the car at any anonymous public place which it considers inappropriate).
