IP address: We collect your IP address when you visit our site. This only identifies your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and does not contain any information about you as an individual. We use this information to help us understand more about where our site traffic originates.
Booking Information: When booking car rental services we ask for your name, postal address, telephone number and email address. This helps us to process your booking, to contact you if we have any problems with your request or to send you an electronic confirmation of the booking. If you pay for your rental at the time of booking you will be asked to enter your payment card type, number and expiration date to enable us to take your payment.
Online Account: When you make a booking, we will give you the opportunity to create an online account. If you accept we will store the personal details you provide in our customer database. This will enable you to make future bookings more rapidly.
Avis Advantage: If you join our Avis Advantage program, we will send in the details to you
History of Transactions: We will maintain electronic records of all rental agreements and other transactions you enter into with Avis.
Sharing Information:Avis will never release your personal details to any company that is not a member of the Avis Rent A Car System for marketing purposes. As we are part of an international group operating the Avis Rent A Car System, we will from time to time share with other companies operating the Avis Rent A Car System (located inside and outside India) information relating to our car rental service operations, which may include your personal information. Unless you have given us your consent your personal information will not be used for any other purpose.
Avis online competitions:If you enter any competitions we offer on our site, we will ask you to enter certain personal information so we can notify you if necessary. Exact terms and conditions and rules of each competition will be posted at the time and may vary. If a prize is offered through a third party we may need to disclose information to the relevant third party in order to facilitate the distribution of any prizes.
Avis online surveys:When you participate in any online surveys you may be asked to supply certain personal information, for example age or income. Provision of all or any of the requested information is voluntary. Survey results will only be used to improve the Avis car hire experience for our customers and not for any other purpose.

However, the credit card details are entered directly to an https secured payment gateway. Any personal information that we hold as part of your customer profile will be held in a database with physical and technological security controls and procedures in place.

A. No. All the cars are delivered and collected by our drivers from the address you have specified at the time of booking.
A. No. The car will be collected by our driver from the place to where it was delivered.
A. As per the Avis fuel policy:
The car will be delivered with a full tank and need to be returned in the same manner.
Customer pays for the fuel charges based on the usage.
If the car is returned with less than full tank fuel, Avis will charge for the differential fuel.
The customer can either pay this directly by cash/card at the time of car pick up by Avis driver or the same will be deducted from the security deposit.
The assessment made by the Avis driver on the differential fuel amount will be final.

A. As per Avis cancellation policy, if the booking is cancelled:
24 hours prior to pick up time
3% of the rental amount will be deducted.
Within 12 to 24 hours of pick up time
25% of the rental amount will be deducted

100% rental amount will be deducted
A. To rent an Avis Self-Drive car, you should have a valid Driving License and an original Passport/Voters ID card/Aadhar card. You need to upload a copy of each via Avis app or website before picking up the car. Please make sure that all the details mentioned in the Driving License are readable and clear. Also, Driving License uploaded should not be damaged.
*Avis reserves the right to reject if any discrepancy is found in the DL.
A. To rent an Avis car, you need to have a valid and a clean Indian or International (Foreign Nationals) driving license that covers the vehicle rented by you. This license needs to be held by you for at least one year.
A. Yes. You are required to sign an e-agreement, a car check list and a brief Terms & Conditions sheet at the time of confirming your booking.
A. You need to upload co-driverï¿½s Driving License before the start of the rental. The renter (who has booked the car) will be responsible in case of an accident or damages by the co-driver wherein the rental terms do not comply with.
A. All Avis cars have commercial number plates.
A. No. We will provide you all the required legal documents needed to drive the car with a commercial number plate.
A. The renter (who has booked the car) is completely liable for any damage done by a third party.
A. Damage to clutch plates and tires due to negligence on part of the renter is not covered and will be charged. Final assessment will be made by Avis.
A. Firstly, reach out to our customer care team at 18605000099 instantly and secondly, inform the local police authorities. A copy of intimation letter acknowledged by the local police authorities/FIR needs to be submitted to Avis.
Damage cost up to INR 5,000 to be borne by the customer. In the case of a damage exceeding Rs.5000, insurance claim will be filed by Avis and the depreciation amount and the parts which are not covered under insurance to be borne by the customer.
*The assessment of damage made by the Avis will be final.
A. Disclaimer: Taking into the account the safety of passengers, Central Government has issued a circular mandating all commercial vehicles to be fitted with a speed governor (speed limiting device) having a maximum speed limit of 80 KM/Hr.

A. The security deposit is charged at the time of booking. As per Avis India cancellation and refund policy, the refund is initiated post closure of rental and is processed within 3 working days.

A. Yes. You have to pay commercial state road tax because self-drive cars are registered under a commercial license.
A. Yes. You have to pay the inter-state taxes for the states you are entering. It is advisable to stop at the RTO check post to pay the government applicable road tax. Non-payment of these taxes would attract penalties by respective state transport departments as you may be asked to produce the tax slip at various times. As mentioned in the user agreement; all such penalties will be borne by the customer only.
*Please only pay for the least tax period that is applicable for your journey days as this could be as low as a one day charge and as high as full year tax.
